Chris Van Bussel

Chris van Bussel works as the Innovation Manager and Senior Analyst, with a focus on shrimp and warm water fish. Prior to starting at Kontali, Chris worked for over 10 years in the aquafeed industry, the latest as global marketing manager for aquafeed company Skretting. Chris was born in the Netherlands where he finished his Master of Science in Aquaculture at Wageningen University. Chris then continued his studies in Kiel, Germany, where he received his doctorate in Aquaculture Engineering. During his research career at different institutes in Europe and Asia, Chris worked on both nutrition of tilapia, catfish, and shrimp as well on the design of recirculation aquaculture systems.
